Thanks for putting yourself out there. It's nice, and amazing, to read about other people working with and through the same things I feel.

#11 You remember that feelings happen and that you can remain centered, groundedness and even compassionate when someone around you starts to have an emotional upheaval.

@Sonia

Yeah, every time I learn something like this I seem to have the thought, "Well this is so *obvious*, I'm never going to have to learn this again...". Sigh. Our minds seem very good at engineering amnesia when it comes to these things. They have to be shown again and again that actually, that old strategy really *doesn't* work.

I think this is why people develop the idea of a "practice". It's just something you do that keeps you on track with progress instead of backtracking like the mind does if left to its own devices. Unfortunately this is another sort of thing I keep having to learn. Oh yeah...practice. =)

Thanks for this reminder. I'm learning this over and over too. And then I have to let myself feel the frustration over not getting it YET, as well as all the other feelings.

I've been working with #7 a lot lately, self-nourishment, self-acceptance. I've been doing a complicated little dance where I judge myself for not being more emotionally independent already. *sigh*

It's surprisingly comforting to see someone else affirm the benefits of this work. Self-affirmation is great, and external support helps too.

Best wishes for your journey with feeling anxiety!
